Steering Committee

As further detailed in Article 7 of the Euribor® Code of Conduct, the Steering Committee consists of 10 members. The Secretary General of the European Banking Federation (FBE) is a permanent member of the Steering Committee while the other members have a mandate of 2 years (renewable).

All the members of the Steering Committee must be independent and not subject to instructions from the companies or organisations to which they belong.

The Steering Committee currently consists of the following persons (end of mandate: April 2009) :

The Steering Committee usually meets twice a year in Brussels. Yet, ad hoc meetings can be organized whenever necessary.

The Steering Committee oversees the compliance with the Code of Conduct and monitors market developments.

Further information on the role of the Steering Committee can be found in Article 8 of the Euribor® Code of Conduct.

Members of the Steering Committee can only attend the meetings in personam and therefore cannot send any representative.
